The store was small but wonderful, with an outstanding bakery within. the beautiful couple that owned and operated it, The Rabinowitz's, were colorful and congenial friends, with Mr. R. doing all the wonderful baking by hand, while Mrs. R. helped us find great foods, and shared anecdotes and Jewish cookbooks with myself and my wife (my sweet Jewish princess). But they grew old, retired and closed the store years ago, and we sorely miss them, their joie de vivre, their Empire Kosher Chicken, and their amazing Jewish baked goods. May God bless them.
